Global recession and its consequences, financial crisis, job cuts, are the hot topic of nowdays. Current Global Recession that seems the greatest ever. We do not know how long, critical or painful it will be. We can not imagine how worst it will be, so be prepared for everything and anything worst. And start preparation of surviving in difficult financial crisis.

How to survive in Global recession and its threatening consequences.

Take care of following things:

1) Cut in expenses – Save Money:

Expend your money only on basic needed things. Avoid expenses on Things those comes under comfort, lavish life style.

Avoid Hoteling: Avoid hotels for food; preparing food at home is always economical and hygienic. If you can not avoid hoteling then find out hotels those are cheap and hygienic.

Avoid Vacations, Traveling: If you have kept aside some money for vacations or you are in planning of outing for vacation then drop the idea. Save the money for coming months.

Avoid Movies in multiplexes: Money we expend on movie tickets and costly snacks in multiplexes has never been worth, at least not in such financial crunch.

Avoid Parties: Try to avoid any kind of grand parties like birthday, marriage etc parties.

Avoid Shopping: avoid unnecessary purchasing. Avoid purchasing at Malls, and in branded showrooms.

2) Save your jobs:

Try to save your job in any condition; don’t even think about job switching.

If you are facing salary cut, or salary late issues or work pressure, or work load or extra working hour then go for it, accept it by keeping one thing in mind that conditions outside are worst than ever. Even you get job outside you will be the first when this company will think about layoffs.

Do your work with loyalty; trust on yourself and on your company.

Stay yourself away from any kind politics and rumors.

Keep yourself positive and try to keep your teammates also.

Keep eye on market news, what going in other companies, market condition and decide your plans according.

Show willingness to be flexible:If you think you can do or take up other responsibilities with the current once start taking them proactively. Employers today are looking for multi talented resources and if you are a match to a extent you are secured.

3) Be ready for Layoffs:

Be ready for layoffs, and keep checking the possible sectors, fields where you can get job.

Check whether you can start small business or alternative that can fulfill your basic bread and butter requirement.

Keep some money with you or in your account so you can survive at least 3 to 6 months in case you loose job.

Keep your money in nationalize, trustworthy and well reputed bank so your money will be secure.

4) Make your succession plan:

Keeping the worst case scenario in mind, look for ideas, alternatives, and options to supplement your current salary. If you are working somewhere and have some fixed income you are a bit more stable and can think of some side business rather then starts thinking of the same after you get laid off/lock out etc etc…

This other income though it might not be a huge amount would be helpful as in worst case scenario you can increase/expand this as a full time carrier option. (and if this idea/business works and starts giving you equal returns as your salary nothing like it as being self employed is always better then the otherwise)

5) Stay Connected:

This will always keep you informed about the latest news, updates incase of adversity their might be people who can help you out. So stay in touch with all your old, new friends and relatives (you never know who can help you when in need).

Rajasthan won Indian premier League (IPL) like Royals

They played the tournament like Royals.
The team without Icon player, without couch, without star players in team. The least expensive side in the tournament.
The only thing they have is team spirit, they carried throughout the tournament and won the first IPL (Indian Premier League).
Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets on the last ball of the 20th over to lift the DLF Indian Premier League trophy

Every member of the team played important role in different matches of tournament according to need.
Yusuf Pathan is outstanding, he is the man of the match of final with all round performance, who took 3 wickets and top-scored with a 39-ball 56 runs. He was like nightmare for opposite teams throughout tournament. he has fastest fifty in 21 balls of IPL on his name. Yusuf grabbed 435 runs in 16 matches in the IPL, at an amazing strike rate of 179, inclusive of 43 boundaries and 25 sixes.

Shane Watson who played All rounder's role throughout tournament. Watson is the player of the tournament with his 474 runs and 17 wickets.

Sohail Tanvir picked 22 wickets, the highest in the IPL tournament, to become the proud owner of the purple cap.

Shane Warne, yes he was the inspiration of the team. he kept the team spirit high. he was not only the captain of the team but coach also. Hats off to him.

HOLI - Festival of colours

The festival of Holi is celebrated on the day after the full moon in early March (Phalguna) every year.

Holi celebration begins with lighting up of bonfire symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

A public bonfire is held, commemorating the burning of Holika. Traditionally, Hindu boys spend the weeks prior to holi combing the neighborhood for any waste wood they can find for the bonfire.

On the second day, known as Dhulhendi (Dhulwad), people spend the day throwing coloured powder and water at each other. The spring season, during which the weather changes, is believed to cause viral fever and cold. Thus, the playful throwing of the coloured powders has a medicinal significance: the colours are traditionally made of Neem, kukmkum, Haldi, Bilva and other medicinal herbs prescribed by Ayurvedic doctors. A special drink called thandai is prepared, sometimes containing Bhaang. People invite each other to their houses for feasts and celebrations.

Legends & stories associated with Holi.

Holi is now a symbolic commemoration of a legend from Hindu Mythology. The story centres around an arrogant king who resents his son Prahlada worshipping Lord Vishnu. He attempts to kill his son but fails each time. Finally, the king's sister Holika who is said to be immune to burning, sits with the boy in a huge fire. However, the prince Prahlada emerges without injury, while his aunt burns to death. Holi commemorates this event from mythology, and huge bonfires are burnt on the eve of Holi as its symbolic representation.

This festival is also associated with the immortal love of Krishna and Radha, and hence, Holi is spread over 16 days in Vrindavan as well as Mathura. Apart from the usual fun with coloured powder and water, Holi is marked by vibrant processions which are accompanied by folk songs, dances and a general sense of abandoned vitality.

Holi in different parts of India:

In Maharashtra, Holi is called Shimga or Rangpanchami.

Holi differs from North India in Maharashtra, People of Maharashtra celebrate Holi like the North Indians. Play with colours is Rangpanchami, which comes five days after Phalgun Poornima. Puran-poli is dish of festival.

In Bengal, Holi features the Dolayatra (Swing Festival), in which images of the gods are placed on specially decorated platforms and devotees take turns swinging them.

In Punjab, they call it 'Hola Mohalla', Holla Mohalla is celebrated a day after Holi in Punjab especially by the Nihang Sikhs.

In Rajasasthan, The Braj Festival is held in honour of Lord Krishna a few days before Holi, in the month of March. There are different holi traditions in rajasthan like Mali holi, Gair at Godaji, Dolachi holi at Bikaner.

In the towns of Rajasthan — especially Jaisalmer — the music's great, and clouds of pink, green, and turquoise powder fill the air. The grounds of Jaisalmer's Mandir Palace are turned into chaos, with dances, folk songs, and colored-powder confusion.

Sachin Tendulkar on latest tour, experience with youngsters, and about him.

I am not thinking of retirement.
After my debut (in 1989), every day has been special. I am still living my dream.
I'm getting to learn lots of lessons from the youngsters in team. They're young but all chalu guys.
We played very competitive cricket in Australia.
The dressing room atmosphere is very lively.

Talking about latest Australia tour:
This series has been very satisfying. We played very competitive cricket. We were competitive in Tests and won the ODIs, which makes it a very special tour.

Experience with younger generation:
I've been part of terrific sides and this is one of the top sides I've been a part of.
All the youngsters are very talented. They’ve worked hard. All I can say is the future looks good.
I'm getting to learn lots of lessons from the youngsters in team. They're young but all chalu guys. They're good-humored. The dressing room atmosphere is very lively. I like the atmosphere. It is fantastic to be around such good players.

India won CB tri-series by beating Australia

India have won the Commonwealth Bank Series, A brilliant performance by young Praveen Kumar and Sachin's 91 runs took India to historic win.
Beating Australia by 9 runs in a thrilling second final of the CB Series, India brought historic win over Australia.
Praveen's first spell was splendid, he took 3 wickets of Gilchrist, Pointing and Clarke, Australia was on 32/3, and before that Sachin Tendulkar's knock of 91 runs with help of Yuvraj and Dhoni headed India to win.
Last few overs were thrilling.

Mahendrasingh Dhoni: "It was the building stage of my team. There were a few doubts if this team can do well in Austalia. The bowlers did well but the way we improved our batting was great. The way Sachin gave us a start was great. It can't get better than this, beating them(Australia) in two finals. With their batting line there were a few concerns with all of them not scoring."

On Praveen Kumar: He looks quite deceptive, he's a bit skiddy, he moves the ball both ways, he's one of the bowlers to look out for in the coming seasons.

Ricky Ponting:" All credit to the Indians. Our level of cricket over the last week has dropped off. Thats disappointing. We've stumbled at the last turn again, can't take anything from India again. We've probably played our worst cricket over the last week. There are no excuses for that."

And St. Valentine is the saint of lovers.
14th February is the traditional day, on which lovers express their love.
Valentine's Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. Valentine day originate from St Valentines death on February 14, 269 A.D. He was the Roman Priest.
In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine.

History of the Valentine's day:
Claudius II the Emperor of Rome, Claudius the Cruel was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. The reason was that roman men did not want to leave their loves or families. As a result, Claudius canceled all marriages and engagements in Rome.
The Valentine was a priest at Rome in the days of Claudius II. He and Saint Marius aided the Christian martyrs and secretly married couples, and for this kind deed Saint Valentine was apprehended and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. He suffered martyrdom on the 14th day of February, about the year 270.

Birth of Valentine Card:
In the United States, Miss Esther Howland is given credit for sending the first valentine cards. Commercial valentines were introduced in the 1800's.
Now there are many commercial ways to celebrate valentine like, valentine cards, Flowers, Gifts, chocolates, and any more ways.

Myths:
In some countries, a young woman may receive a gift of clothing from a young man. If she keeps the gift, it means she will marry him.
Some people used to believe that if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valentine's Day, it meant she would marry a sailor. If she saw a sparrow, she would marry a poor man and be very happy. If she saw a goldfinch, she would marry a millionaire.
In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week.

No ban on Harbhajan Singh. Bhaji is not Racist

Monkey is not a racist term.

The Judge Hansen indicated that even if Harbhajan called Symonds a "monkey" it would not constitute racism.

The ICC's Appeals Commissioner Justice Hansen described why the racial charge could not have been upheld against Harbhajan Singh.

1) Tendulkar confirmed that the abuse uttered by Harbhajan is pronounced with a 'n' and could have been mis-interpreted as monkey

2) Symonds provided the provocation because Harbhajan patting Lee on the bottom after an excellent yorker was just his way of saying 'well bowled'

3)Surprisingly, the Australian players could not recall Harbhajan saying any other word other than monkey, maybe because the abuse was not in English

4)In my view even if Harbhajan had used the 'alleged word' then an 'ordinary person' would not have been offended under the terms of 3.3 which pertains to racial abuse

People saying that BCCI ruling on ICC,

Harbhajan wasn't let off the hook for racism for lack of evidence but because of lobbying by the BCCI.

Alex Brown of the Sydney Morning Herald writes, "If there was any question about who wielded the power within international cricket, it was answered emphatically yesterday. India, which accounts for up to 70 per cent of the game's global revenue, completed a comprehensive victory over the International Cricket Council and Cricket Australia by having Harbhajan Singh's racism ban downgraded to a lesser charge of misconduct."

Cricket Columnist Peter Roebuck writes, "India's performance in chartering a plane to take the players back home in case of a finding against them is among the most nakedly aggressive actions in the history of a notoriously fractious game. If this is the way Indian cricket intends to conduct its affairs, God help cricket."

26th january - India's Republic Day

26th of January celebrated as the Republic Day of India.
26th January 1950, on this day the constitution of India came into effect and India became a truly sovereign(self governing) state, and complete republican country.
India obtained its independence on August 15, 1947, but the Constitution of India came into effect only on January 26, 1950. During the transition period from 1947 to 1950, King George VI was the head of state, and C. Rajagopalachari served as the Governor-General of India during this period.
On January 26, 1950, Rajendra Prasad was elected as the first president of India.

The beginning of the occasion starts with commemorating all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. The Prime Minister of India lays a wreath(flowers fastened in ring) at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate, a 21 gun salute is presented.
Republic Day is celebrated with the hoisting of the national flag, and parades by the armed forces and school children all over the country.
The largest parade, The Republic Day Parade is an annual military and cultural parade held in the Indian Capital of New Delhi on 26 January. Parade starts from Rajghat along the Vijayapath with different regiments of the army, navy and air force marching in all their fineries.
Militery parade is followed by cultural parade, in which each state present tableaux(group of silent people presenting scene on stage) that represents its unique festivals, folk dances, historical locations, etc. the parade also includes motor-cycle riding.

Award presentation: president presents the medals of bravery to the people from the armed forces and also the civilians for their courageous work.

Sachin Tendulkar hits his 39th test century on Adelaide Oval ground.
And 9th against the Australians!!!!!

Sachin is now five centuries ahead of retired duo Sunil Gavaskar and Brian Lara, with Australian captain Ricky Ponting one further back on 33.

Sachin is on fire throughout this series. Tendulkar has 451 runs in the series at 90.20.

Allan Donald once said Sachin Tendulkar deserves to be highest

the Mumbaikar is the best batsman of present era and deserves to

India won the 3rd test match by 72 runs.
India halted journey of countineous 16 test wins.
as R.P.Singh took last wicket, Harbhajan Singh comes racing into the field with the Indian flag.
as per crickbuzz India becomes the first side to beat Australia in Australia in 5 years!

India and Australia was playing 3rd test at W.A.C.A., Perth, after a controversial 2nd test.
It was prestigious to both to win.
India was trialing 2-0 in this series, so for india it was do or die match to draw series.
finally India won the match by 72 runs.
Irfan Pathan is the Man of the Match for his all round performance in this Test match. He picked up 5 wickets and a valuable 28 in the 1st innings and 46 in the second inning.

Fourth day:
After only good partnership between Pointing and Hussey, Australian batsmans failed to stay on field to win the test.
India ballers doing great job, Sehwag took 2 wicket in consecutive overs, that turned match total in arms of indians.

Yuvraj is replaced by Virendra sehwag, he is lucky guy in concern to performance and comeback ratio. even he played well in last practice match though he failed here in first inning, got out on 29 runs, in same fashion ( no question about consistency), since last 3/4 years he has been doing same mistakes, like 1) throw the wicket at slips or keeper region, 2) No footwork.

Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul dravid played well,
Sachin and Dravid both completed 50's individually, Good partnership ended with wrong decision of LBWagainst Sachin, he has given out on 71,[know more about decision] he is real unlucky cricketier in the world.
Ganguly out on 9.
and then The Wall(Dravid) down on 93, another unlucky.
Laxman out on 27. Lee got his 3rd wicket.
India again failed to convert to good score on platform set by Sachin, Dravid.
At the end of the frist day India is on 297/6. Dhoni and Pathan playing on 8 runs each.
Hope they will add some more runs as India can reach in good position.

He bangs back like a phoenix.
No one was with him when he was thrown out of team, when he was out of form, everybody mainly media was in total opposition, senior cricketers also in opposition.

Makar Sankranti - Festival of friendship

In India, in Hinduism, Every festival, every social custom has science behind it.
Makar Sankranti marks the beginning of the Sun's journey to the Northern Hemisphere called Uttarayana.
Makar stands for the constellation Capricorn and the Sankranti of a month is the day when the Sun passes into a new rashi (zodiac).
The day and night on Makar Sankrant are of exactly of equal hours.

Makara Sankranti is also celebrated throughout India as a
harvesting festival.It is a way of giving thanks to the elements of
nature. In the coastal regions, it is a harvest festival
dedicated to Indra.

Celebration all over INdia:
In Maharashtra, when two persons greet each other on this festive day, they exchange a few grains of multi-coloured sugar (TilGul) and say "til-gul ghya, god god bola" means "accept these tilguls and speak sweet words".(hereafter,let there be friendship between us).
In Gujarat, perfect weather conditions at this time of the year mean this day is celebrated as Patang Divas (Kite Flying Day).
In Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, festival called as Pongal,the whole festival lasts for four days, the first day Bhogi, the second day Sankranti, the third day Kanuma and the fourth day, Mukkanuma.
In Assam, the festival is celebrated as Bhogali Bihu.
In Punjab it is called Lohri.
In Uttar Pradesh, Sankrant is called "KICHERI".
In Bundelkhand and Madhya Pradesh this festival of Sankrant is known by the name "SUKARAT" or "SAKARAT".

On this day people eat "bajari" bread mixed with "til" (Sesamum). On the feast of Sankrant "til" is
given great importance, for in this season it is considered to have special nutritive and medicinal qualities. "Til" is a very oil-giving seed. Mixed with jaugari or sugar it becomes a very sticky
sweet which people exchange with one another as a sign of friendship. "Tilgul ghya, god bola." ("Take tilgul and speak sweetly") is the phrase on everybody's lips.
Til-Gul is heat giving taht significant in winter days.

Throughout the year the sun passes through twelve constellations: Mesh (Ram, Aries), Vrishabh
(Bull, Taurus), Mithun (Couple, Gemini), Kark (Crab, Cancer), Sinh (Lion, Leo), Kanya (Girl, Virgo), Tula (Balance, Libra), Vrishchik (Scorpion), Dhanu (Bow, Saggitarius), Makar (Crocodile, Capricorn),
Kumbh (Wateijar, Aquarius), Min (Fish, Pisces).
When the sun does not cross any constellation then there is an extra month called "Adhik Mas". The crossing of the Makar constellation takes place in the month of Paush.
